Jon Nutting's Portfolio
Biography:
History:
Way back in the good ol' days of 1997, armed with my B.A. in Fine Art, I ventured into the graphic design industry. First, I started with my own business, ADZ: Advertising and Design. This was the beginning of my real world experience as a designer - I had to learn how to be a good business man, and learn how to do every type of design project. I owned ADZ for about 3 years before feeling the itch to move on to another adventure. Next, I entered the corporate world. Again, I was enriched with amazing experience. From this, came my understanding of why Dilbert comic strips were so funny; how to be a team lead, and work with others in a collaborative team environment; also, I learned to design with a more professional-corporate feel. Within 3 years, I worked as a full-time employee for two software companies. Finally, after a recession-prompted layoff, I went back to self-employment and have been working as so presently. I am blessed that I have gained a wealth of knowledge and experience from my various experiences owning a business, working corporately, and working as a free agent.
